To mark the first anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine I organised an aid convoy to Ukraine.
The idea of the anniversary convoy came from a discussion with Ukrainian MP Lesia Vasylenko in December after I became Co-Chair of the Ukraine Group in Parliament.
From January I organised, alongside charities and councils the first Parliamentary Aid Convoy. Our journey ended at the Operation Safedrop warehouse, a stunning facility donated by a Danish Businessman where tonnes of vital aid is amassed.
